STOCK1 (annual): Local Authority Housing Stock
This return collects information on the number of local authority-owned dwellings as at 31 March each year, and breaks the number down by age and type.

STOCK2 (annual): Vacant Local Authority Stock
Deals with the total number of vacant properties as at 31 March each year, current status of these (designated temporary accommodation for the homeless, to be demolished etc.) and the length of time these have been vacant. It distinguishes between dwellings vacant in high/medium demand areas and dwellings vacant for other reasons.

S1B (annual): Special Needs Housing (previously known as STOCK3)
This is a return which seeks information on various aspects in housing for the elderly and for people with physical disabilities. This covers sheltered, sheltered wheelchair, amenity housing and other dwellings with alarms.

STOCK4 (quarterly): Changes to Housing Stock
This is used to monitor changes in the total housing stock for local authorities and all other tenures. The form records the number of dwellings demolished, closed or taken out of housing use, or acquired by the local authority from the private sector (for demolition or other purpose), as well as conversions into domestic and non-domestic properties. These figures are used for stock and household estimates.
