Scottish Government Sports Division

The Sports Division in the Scottish Government is headed by Kate Vincent. Within it are three teams:

  • Branch 1 - Performance, which deals with sponsorship of sportscotland, elite sport and national and regional sports facilities
  • Branch 2 - Participation, which covers participation issues and local facilities
  • Branch 3 - London 2012 and Glasgow 2014, which deals with the Scottish Government's input into the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games

The Commonwealth Games Council for Scotland

The Commonwealth Games Council for Scotland is the national sporting organisation charged with entering a Scottish Team in the Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games every 2 years.
