Further action is ongoing to support those who have difficulty with access to, or use of, the on-line application process. As part of this action, work continues on quantifying gaps in provision of broadband and on the need for training and support for applicants. We intend that the outputs from this work will include a brief action plan for each RPAC area.
In addition, the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO), together with the Crofters Commission, recently launched 'Rural Direct' at: www.ruraldirect.org.uk which will provide support to constituted community groups who are considering applying for Rural Priority funding. NFUS has successfully carried out a series of Rural Priority surgeries for their members and further discussions will take place with a range of other organisations to see what support they intend to provide to their members.
