Each regional priority has a unique code (column one) which will help you to identify your selected priorities when completing your Statement of Intent/Proposal.
The detailed description (column two) has been provided to help you understand the implications and outcomes being sought by each priority.
The package numbers (column three) will help you to cross reference those relevant packages to the regional priority you have selected, with the full list of packages detailed on the right hand side of the page.

- enhance the management and condition of archaeological monuments on agricultural land
- enhance the condition of rural vernacular buildings, bringing back into use buildings which are out of use and in danger of dereliction, or derelict.

OHE15b | b. Help to maintain local distinctiveness and promote local identity and pride of place through the management of vernacular rural buildings, archaeological or historic sites and historic landscapes. Particularly proposals that: - focus on finding reuse and development possibilities for vernacular rural buildings, including croft houses, tin houses and blackhouses and traditional agricultural buildings
- include the maintenance or improvement of such vernacular rural buildings, archaeological and historic sites and landscapes.

OHE15c | c. Contribute to the preservation and development of skills and employment opportunities through the management of vernacular rural buildings, archaeological or historic sites and historic landscapes. Particularly proposals that: - encourage skills training to support the above proposals, particularly in masonry, walling, carpentry, roofing, thatching and traditional rural building
- address the management of resources for building and site maintenance, for example, the reuse of stone and other building materials, cultivation and cutting of grass/reeds/heather/straw for roofing.

OHE15d | d. Increase public appreciation and understanding of, and access to, the historic environment: - proposals which include improved information about and access to monuments, buildings and the landscape.

Improve the viability of existing rural building stock, achieved by increasing the number and range of vernacular rural buildings that can be made viable or can continue to be viable for use: - proposals that include the renovation and reuse of traditional buildings in rural and particularly agricultural contexts, particularly bringing back into use buildings in poor or derelict condition.
