The Scottish Government and LARIA jointly commissioned research to identify the Statutory Requirements for Research in Central and Local Government, in order to understand better the many and varied requirements for research in government in Scotland, and outline the implications of these for research capacity. The following links contain a list of all statutes that place a statutory requirement upon local and central government in Scotland to undertake research.
