Second Meeting of the Strategic Science Advisory Panel (SSAP)
Introduction
Rhona Brankin, the Deputy Minister for Environment and Rural Development, welcomed the panel members to the second meeting which took place over two days. The first day dealt with matters arising from the first meeting. The main subject for discussion on the second day was future research in Animal Health and Welfare as well as presentations from the directors of the Main Research Providers (MRPs) on the research carried out at their institutes.
