Getting it right Learning Community Aims
The aims of developing a Getting it right Learning Community are as follows:
- To join together key individuals who have a pivotal role to play in the implementation of the Getting it right approach - across all services for children and their families; and across the Scottish Government.
- To create a transparent forum which allows practitioners spanning all regions, sectors and stages of implementation to share experiences, materials, plans, drafts and knowledge of local practice in order to help them develop systems to suit their own local areas.
- To equip practitioners with a means of working collaboratively towards a set of common goals, so that they can support & communicate effectively with each other and with the Scottish Government to develop a nationally convergent practice.
Getting it right Learning Community Objectives
Facilitated by a secure online "virtual" group worksite (using Microsoft SharePoint), members of the Learning Community will be encouraged to do the following:
- Share ideas, examples of good practice, local methods, materials, plans and drafts with each other via the online worksite, and by other means as required
- Actively communicate with each other; in either seeking or providing support regarding the Getting it right agenda and its implementation
- Openly participate in a shared learning & development experience in relation to the Getting it right agenda and its implementation
- Ensure that local approaches are in-line with the Getting it right approach, and that they can converge with practice in other areas if required to do so
- Seek clarity & guidance from the Getting it right team as required
- Flag any serious implementation concerns to the Getting it right team
- Disseminate/share lessons learned with peers in their own local areas, as appropriate
