The Implementation Programme Board consists of officials from the Scottish Government 's Health, Justice and Education portfolios as well as representatives from Disclosure Scotland, ACPOS and BT Scotland.

The remit of the programme board is:

  • To oversee progress with the implementation programme
  • To co-ordinate progress of the projects, identifying cross-overs and gaps, and managing interfaces between projects
  • To ensure coherence between implementation and the underlying policies
  • To identify, monitor and review programme risks and issues
  • To discuss strategic issues around the programme and inform the Senior Responsible Officer's decision making on such matters.
  • To control key programme documents and approve any changes to them.
