6. Does the PVG scheme apply to parent councils, PTA members and evening class teachers using school premises?
This issue has arisen out of the Protection of Children (Scotland) Act and the PVG Act. It was never intended to impact on parent councils meeting in schools or to impact on their community use. Subject to the approval of the Scottish Parliament, steps will be taken to remedy this position.
