15. Are there certain offences and convictions that will lead to people being barred automatically?
Section 14 of the Act creates a provision to allow conviction for certain offences to always lead to a person being listed. Chapter three of the consultation on policy proposals for secondary legislation asked a number of questions about whether to automatically list individuals and a decision on this issue is yet to be reached.
The Scottish Government has published a detailed analysis of the consultation on policy proposals for secondary legislation required to deliver the PVG scheme. Ministers are now considering the detail of the analysis and expect to publish the full response after the Scottish Parliamentary summer recess.
