The Scottish Government will now on focus on the Early Years Framework rather than the Sure Start Scotland programme.
The Early Years Framework is intended to shift the focus of service planning, design and delivery away from crisis management towards prevention, early identification and early intervention by agencies who are confident about working together around the needs of the individual child and family. There is a powerful focus too on supporting parents to improve their skills and capacity to improve outcomes for their children. The aims of the Framework, therefore, reflect many of those for Sure Start Scotland.
