SGEI Scheme
The web pages linked below set out the implications of the European Commission's decision for Scottish Credit Unions. They outline the shape of the SGEI scheme, who is eligible, what the qualifying conditions are, how a Credit Union may apply to the Credit Union SGEI Fund, the decision making process and the required monitoring and auditing requirements. They also list credit unions that have gained approval and specify the details of the funding received by the approved credit unions.
It should be noted that receiving approval under this scheme, from the Scottish Executive, does not guaranteee funding - this is a decision for each public funder to make.
