Social Justice
Social justice is at the heart of the work of the Executive.
Providing dignity and security for older people is central to the social justice agenda. Every person beyond working age deserves to have a decent quality of life. The Executive works together with the UK Government to tackle pensioner poverty and increase numbers of older people enjoying active, independent and healthy lives.
Work is well under way to close the opportunity gap that exists for people and to ensure that support reaches those who need it the most. For more details on this work see the Social Inclusion section on this site.
