Faith

The relationship between faith and the justice system is a complex one. On the one hand, religion can function as a support for people, and as a means of fostering dialogue. It can also be a spur to hatred for some people. Faith communities can be an integral part of community partnerships to encourage safe and open communitites, but they may also need the protection of the justice system to protect their members and even their buildings. Working in conjuction with faith communities in an open and respectful manner can better help mainstream their concerns and advantages into the justic system.
