E quality issues impact across a broad range of issues relevant to housing and area regeneration. The reports listed below demonstrate how particular equality groups have particular needs and experiences. If you are thinking of doing some research or pursuing a policy initiative with reference to, for example, access to social housing, it would be constructive to think about how different groups have different experiences and needs in this area and how this might impact on research findings or policy outcomes. It is also important to remember that people are not simply defined by membership of one "equality" group. Their needs and experiences can cut across several groups at any given time (age, gender, ethnicity and so on) and depending on the issue, the relative importance of their needs may vary.
