Gender
Gender representation in the arts and cultural industries tends to be very hierarchical, with many women on lower leveled, lower paying jobs and men representing high paid, high level positions. Thus, keeping the needs of women in mind when thinking about mainstreaming equalities in arts and culture is important. Women play a vital role in Scottish culture, and they should be considered when doing new research or policy in the area.
