The public sector equality duty specific duties require the Scottish Government to assess the impact of applying a proposed new or revised policy or practice against the needs mentioned in the equality duty, where and to the extent necessary to fulfil the duty.

Equality Impact Assessment guidance is available to all staff via the Scottish Government's intranet.
