The Scottish Parliament approved the Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisations (Removal from Register and Dissolution) Regulations 2011. Both these and the Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisations Regulations 2011 will come into force on 1 April.
Both sets of Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) regulations were laid before the Scottish Parliament. Subject to the approval of the Scottish Parliament, the SCIO will be introduced for new and unincorporated Scottish charities on 1 April 2011 and 1 January 2012 for incorporated organisations.
