Youth Justice Co-ordinators

The Youth Justice Co-ordinator's Group is a national body which incorporates youth justice representatives from the 32 local authorities across Scotland. The representatives are the strategic link between the local youth justice strategy groups within authorities and government, providing a conduit for information, policy and national development. The group meets quarterly and is supported administratively by Criminal Justice Social Work Centre. In addition to the 32 local authority representatives, Government, the Scottish Reporter's Administration and the CJSWDC are also represented.

The Youth Justice Co-ordinators Group oversees the work and training undertaken within the 4 area groupings and the work of the champions groups, including, the high risk young persons champions group, the champions group relating to young people exhibiting sexually harmful behaviour, the ASSET users group, the YLS users group and most recently the newly developed young women's champions group. Additionally, the Youth Justice Co-ordinator's Group have undertaken to deliver an annual youth justice practitioner led conference, the most recent of which took place in Dundee in June of this year.
