Purpose of this circular: To convey the Scottish Ministers' approval of the 2008-2010 pay settlement for Police Cadets and revised rates for the Dog Handlers Allowance.
Summary of contents: This circular authorises the implementation of the PNB 3-year pay settlement entered into by the Staff and Official Sides commencing on 1 September 2008. The PNB has agreed that the same percentage increases should apply to police cadets pay and board and lodging charges and that the rate of the dog handlers allowance and the competence related threshold payment should be subject to the same percentage increases.
Details are set out in PNB Circulars 08/10 and 08/11, copies of which are attached. An appropriate determination under the Police Regulations will be issued in due course.
