Part 6 - Guardianship and Intervention orders

Certificate to accompany an application under sections 57(3)(a) and 60(3)(a) for guardianship, renewal of guardianship or an intervention order.

For applications under section 57(3)(a), two certificates are required and where the incapacity is by reason of mental disorder, one of the medical practitioners must be approved for the purposes of section 22 of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 (the 2003 Act).

For a renewal under section 60, only one certificate is required and where the incapacity is by reason of mental disorder, the medical practitioner must be approved for the purposes of section 22 of the 2003 Act'.
