Drugs StrategyScotland's first national drugs strategy The Road to Recovery: A New Approach to Tackling Scotland's Drug Problem was launched in May 2008.

The strategy focuses on recovery and reinforces the message that services should support people to move on, towards a drug-free life, as active and contributing members of society.

The Minister for Community Safety, Fergus Ewing, is delighted to support this, the first Annual Highland Recovery Walk on 26 September 2009. He praises the organisers for their creative thinking on bringing the community together to help change and inform attitudes on recovery from drug dependency.
