Family Matters - Marriage and Civil Partnership

Recent changes in the law in Scotland have reflected the changing nature of the family. These include the Family Law (Scotland) Act 2006 and the Civil Partnership Act 2004.

To coincide with the changes made to the law by the Family Law (Scotland) Act 2006, the Scottish Executive has produced a number of leaflets about family law. These include a publication about about marriage called Family Matters: Marriage in Scotland
