2/2008: Scottish Government Resilience Room

17 April 2008

Scottish Resilience Civil Contingencies Circular 2/2008

Scottish Government Resilience Room (SGoRR)

1. This Circular advises stakeholders of the re-naming of the facility for co-ordinating the Scottish Government's corporate emergency response (formerly known as SEER).

2. The new name is the Scottish Government Resilience Room (SGoRR) and will take immediate effect. As well as being consistent with corporate nomenclature, the name better reflects the purpose of the facility. It also means "distinctive peak" in Gaelic.

3. We will be working on updating email accounts, signage and documentation etc to reflect the new name. This will necessarily take a little time, so please accept communications containing "SEER" references as coming from SGoRR.

Yours faithfully

John Nicholls

Head of the Civil Contingencies Unit
