Scottish Resilience Civil Contingencies Circular 1/2008
Arrangements for distribution of Scottish Resilience Civil Contingencies Circulars
Civil Contingencies Unit Business Plan 2008/09
This is the first Scottish Resilience Civil Contingencies Circular. We are introducing the Circulars to improve our communications with Scotland's civil contingencies community. The Circulars will be used to draw attention to issues likely to be of broad general interest to a wide range of stakeholders - please see Annex A for an initial distribution list of organisations. We will refine and broaden the list in the light of experience, but should you wish to suggest additions or amendments, please contact Linda.gordon@scotland.gsi.gov.uk .
The Circulars will be published on the Scottish Government website at: www.scotland.gov.uk/Topics/Justice/emergencies. They do not replace the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Circulars or Dear Chief Fire Officer letters issued by Scottish Resilience's Fire and Rescue Services Unit. We will also continue to produce our bi-monthly CCU newsletter.
We hope you find the Circulars useful. We would welcome your feedback on the Circulars - please contact me at the address above with any comments.
Civil Contingencies Unit Business Plan 2008/09
Please see Annex B for a copy of the Civil Contingencies Unit's Business Plan for 2008/09. As well as setting out the overall context in which we will be operating, the plan also describes the Unit's main projects and activities for the coming year. We hope the plan will be of assistance to stakeholders, particularly Strategic Co-ordinating Groups, in setting their own work programmes.
