Remit
"To bring together key parties to assist the Scottish Executive in the preparation of requests for Act of Adjournal and Act of Sederunt required to amend the Rules of Court with the purpose of ensuring adequate procedures are in place to enable the operation of the Vulnerable Witnesses (Scotland) Act 2004 with regard to those provisions relating to adult vulnerable witnesses in High Court and Sheriff Court Solemn cases and in Children's Hearing Court Proceedings to the Sheriff Court with effect from 1 April 2006.
To assist the Scottish Executive in the preparation of instructions for a commencement order to enable the Vulnerable Witnesses (Scotland) Act 2004 to come into operation on 1 April 2006 in so far as its provisions relate to adult vulnerable witnesses in High Court and Sheriff Solemn cases and in Children's Hearing court proceedings."
