Purpose of the circular: To convey Scottish Ministers' approval to amend Chief Inspectors pay.
Summary of contents: This circular authorises the implementation of the agreement reached in the PNB in relation to Chief Inspectors pay as set out in the Memorandum attached to PNB Circular 04/04 (Advisory).
These changes will be promulgated in Police regulations in due course. In the meantime arrangements should be made to implement the adjustments to the pay scale for Chief Inspectors.
A copy of this circular is enclosed for the Director of Finance in the police authority. Copies have also been sent to the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities, the police associations and the Accounts Commission.
