Transition
To advise on how the implementation of the Licensing (Scotland) Bill should take place, Ministers set up a transition team consisting of 6 Licensing Board Clerks. Their remit is available to view.
To consider transitional arrangements for the proposed new alcohol licensing regime, the team will focus on practicalities, working towards a realistic approach on the assumption that this has to be achievable within current resources, and is fair, effective and workable for all involved. Minutes of meetings of the transition team are available to view, as is an outline of how the transition process is expected to run and what Grandfather Rights are expected to be available.
