The Scottish Wildfire Forum (SWF) was established in December 2004. It brings together a number of agencies to formulate strategies for dealing with fires in the natural environment, and is expected to meet every three months. The SWF is chaired by HM Fire Service Inspectorate, and includes representation from Scottish Fire and Rescue Services, the Scottish Executive Environment and Rural Affairs Department, and the Forestry Commission Scotland (among other organisations).
