Fire and its consequences are a threat to public safety, affecting lives and destroying property.
In Scotland, many people continue to die or sustain serious injuries due to fire, and whilst these figures have reduced over recent years, many more deaths and injuries could be prevented.
A national fire safety campaign Don't Give Fire a Home has been developed to help improve the record of fire deaths and injuries.
