A Co-operation Agreement was signed between Scotland and Malawi in November 2005. This outlines key areas of our engagement. These are:
- Civic governance
- Sustainable economic development
- Health
- Education
We work closely with the Government of Malawi. Each strand of the Co-operation Agreement has a Malawi and a Scottish lead working together to assess progress and to set priorities for furture funding. This relationship is supported by regular meetings between the Governments of Scotland and Malawi ( Joint Permanent Commission on Co-operation) to assess progress on commitments.
