The Matrix has been produced to help all with an interest and involvement in improving access to and delivery of Psychological Therapies.
It sets out the available evidence base for psychological therapies for common mental health problems for adults, children, young people and families and some aspects of long term conditions management and physical health care. It is not intended to be prescriptive but does offer guidance in the strategic planning and delivery of Psychological Therapies. To remain relevant and current it will be reviewed and updated regularly to ensure ongoing attention to expanded scope of coverage and to incorporate new evidence as this becomes available.
In April 2008 the Minister for Public Health, Shona Robison, launched separate Summary Sheets on Dementia and on Anxiety and Depression setting out action underway and planned on these important agendas.
