A Mental Health Collaborative will be launched in April 2008 and run over the next three years.
What will the Collaborative do?
Ruth Glassborow has been appointed as the National Programme Manager for the Collaborative. This national initiative will help NHS Boards meet:
- the antidepressant prescribing HEAT target;
- HEAT targets on mental health re-admissions;and the
- HEAT target on dementia.
How will the Collaborative help?
By offering an evidence based change methodology. Hands on support to individual services that are are considering re-design will also be offered.
Through working with the Long Terms Conditions Collaborative programme to support CHPs to deliver integrated services for mental and physical wellbeing.
Who will the Collaborative help?
Every NHS Board in Scotland will be involved in the programme as it unfolds. The programme will support NHS Boards to build better services in their local areas. This will help service users, carers and professionals working in and using mental health services.
