Chemotherapy Advisory Group

The Chemotherapy Advisory Group reports to the Scottish Cancer Taskforce and is chaired by Dr John Davies, Lead Clinician, South East Scotland Cancer Area Network, and one of the national Cancer Clinical Leads.

Remit
  • To work with all stakeholders to develop a programme for the implementation of actions identified in Better Cancer Care, An Action Plan for the development of chemotherapy services in Scotland and to ensure effective action is taken on all points therein.
  • To further develop the quality assurance of chemotherapy services in Scotland taking account of the observations and recommendations of the National Confidential Enquiry into Patient Outcomes and Deaths for England and Wales.
Membership

Membership includes clinicians involved in delivering chemotherapy services as well as representatives from the Cancer Area Networks, NHS Information Services Division, NHS Education for Scotland, cancer centres and the voluntary sector.

Representatives from other organisations are invited to meetings on an ad hoc basis according to the agenda.
