SOLACE
Scotland is the Scottish Branch of the Society of Local
Authority Chief Executives & Senior Managers. Founded
in 1973, it is the representative body for senior strategic
managers working in local government. Its members are drawn
from a variety of professional backgrounds and the Society
is uniquely placed to offer a corporate overview of local
government.
The
Association for
Public Service Excellence (APSE), is the UK's fastest growing and most progressive
local government association. The Association has been at
the forefront of assisting its members in the ongoing
implementation and development of Best Value and the wider
modernisation agenda. By promoting quality public services
via networking, the sharing of information and best
