Evidence Base
There is a need for ongoing commitment
and resourcing for research, monitoring and evaluation to
make sure that programmes are high-quality and
effective.
In order to develop this strategy into a successful and
long lasting programme, the Scottish Executive intends
to:
- draw up an overall research and evaluation
plan.
- set up a monitoring system that covers all the
agencies involved
- provide monitoring and evaluation guides and
templates for local use
- compare our plans with other countries
- explore research links with other agencies
- make sure that all stakeholders act in line with
existing or recommended legislative and audit
requirements
