Create or improve place for activity through:
- urban design
- planning transport and travel
- plans for using land
- access to facilities - programming and costs
Social Support in Community settings:
build, strengthen and maintain social networks that can support physical activity
create new methods specifically to develop support physical activity (e.g walking groups and activity buddies)
Providing information about reducing risks and simple actions that could reduce risks through:
- signs on stairwells, at lifts and on escalators
- local community events (family walks and health fairs)
- local media features
