What the Group does:

- lead in planning and advising on the way forward
- identify and recommend priorities for change
- advise Ministers on how The same as you? is improving the quality of lives of people of all ages and their families
The same as you? National Implementation Group have worked with service providers, service users, carers and local authorities to highlight the need for services to be developed to better meet the needs of the increased number of people living in the community. People with a learning disability should be provided with support that allows them to live a normal life, living in their own home or a homely setting with adequate support to allow them to live as independently as possible, through a flexible, person-centred support package. It promotes a person-centred approach to services ensuring people with learning disabilities are involved in making choices about what they want.
