SAYIG Agenda

SAYIG Forward Agenda

At previous meetings we identified a number of issues for the future agenda. We agreed that some issues would be addressed outwith the main meeting, either in smaller group meetings, or one-off meetings with other people.

SCLD and other groups will also be addressing these issues also.

The table below sets out these items under 3 different headings:

  • Items for discussion at SAYIG, mostly with invited speakers from other policy or practice areas
  • Items for discussion in other meetings, with SAYIG representatives
  • Items that other groups will address, with information fed into SAYIG

This means that SAYIG would hear about all of the work being done, and would be able to feed in comments or suggestions.

We could therefore set the SAYIG agenda for the next 4 meetings as follows:

May 2006 - Transport; Housing and future demand

September 2006 - Training, recruitment and retention of social care staff; Social work review

November/December 2006 - Community safety; Sport, leisure and recreation; Progress with LAC

February 2007 - Speech and language therapy and Allied Health Professionals; Older people with learning disabilities
