ASD Reference group

This group was set up following the recommendations of the PHIS Needs Assessment Report.

Remit of the Group

To provide a representative forum to:

  • monitor progress being made on the implementation of the PHIS Autistic Spectrum Disorder Needs Assessment Report;
  • offer advice to Ministers as work on autistic spectrum disorders is being brought forward by the Scottish Executive;
  • share ideas and offer good practice advice on local agencies that work with children and adults with autistic spectrum disorders.

A recommendation of the Reference Group was to set up subgroups, dealing with the initial priority issues. Groups were set up for Diagnosis, Training and Information.
