Practical Implementation
What are Practical Implementation groups?
These groups provide either advice on the practical aspects of implementation of Joint Future or a focal point for shared learning. Some were set up by the Joint Future Implementation Advisory Group (JFIAG) and report to it. Others were set up by the Joint Future Unit to take forward implementation.
Why are these groups necessary?
Depending on their purpose, they either analyse implementation issues that are problematic and propose solutions, or provide a vehicle to share experiences and practice.
How do these groups contribute to Joint Future?
By bringing together key players from the Executive and the field, they either analyse issues and report back or share information in a network, as appropriate.
When do these groups meet?
The Groups meet regularly. Some, ie the task groups set up by JFIAG, will have a relatively short life. The learning networks, as exemplified by the Assessment Review Consultative Group (ARCG), will continue for as long as they are needed.
