What are Policy Management groups?

National ownership of and leadership for Joint Future is provided by 2 groups:

The MSG is the vehicle for political ownership, while the JFIA Group secures that at senior management and other stakeholder levels. These Groups set out the direction of travel and the timescale for delivery.

How do these groups contribute to Joint Future?

These groups address policy development, drive implementation and monitor performance.

Why are these groups necessary

Ownership of the policy at both political and senior management levels in both the NHS and local authorities is an essential part of delivery. Unions and the voluntary sector are also represented at the national level.

When do these groups meet?

These groups meet several times a year.
