Consultation starts on National Minimum Information Standards for all Adults in Scotland for Assessment, Shared Care and Support Plan, Review and Carers' Assessment and Support.
Standardisation of the content of the various stages of assessment and care management is a pre-requisite for the effective recording and appropriate sharing of information to benefit people receiving community care services and support.
We are now consulting on the Compendium of Standards. It sets out the national minimum information standards for all adults, covering assessment, shared care and support plans, and care plan review. It also includes national minimum information standards for the identification of needs and support for carers ('carers' assessment'). It has been developed by the Assessment Review Coordinating Group of managers and professionals. The consultation began on 10 December 2007and runs until 29 February 2008.
You are invited to respond to the compendium through the link attached below:

Performance Reporting for Community Care 2007/08
The national partnership in community care continues to review their position in order to ensure a good fit with the broader national picture. We are now jointly developing a single community care indicator and to jointly encourage local government to include this in the final set of local indicators, within the single outcome agreement framework.
In relation to performance in 2007/08, we are writing on behalf of the national partnership in community care to advise you of the expectations of local partnerships to report on their joint performance in 2007-08, and to put that in the context of the outcomes developments in the Scottish Government generally.
