Learning Networks

Learning networks are groups of individuals, organisations or agencies who come together on a non-hierarchical basis to share practice, assist with problem solving and share solutions. There are a number of looser national networks who meet regularly and also share information and good practice (eg JLIP Co-ordinators Group) and professional networks (eg Clinical Effectiveness Network).

This page covers those with a national perspective. (We recognise that local formal and informal networks are numerous.) Some of the key national learning networks linked to partnership workingare listed below.

(meets every 8 weeks)

Aim-to bring together representatives to deliver the objectives of the O/D stream of the e-care programme including:

  • efficient use of technical products
  • implement models
  • production of an organisational development product set

The Network enables non-MGF2 learning partners to engage with the Programme and share information among themselves and with e-care partners

Integrated Learning Network

(bi-monthly)

To provide a forum for Practitioners and Managers across social work, health and housing to share experiences, good practice and support the implementation agenda for Joint Future.

The Agenda is determined by delegates and an action plan with supporting documents are collated to support events.

Delayed Discharge Learning Network

(6 monthly)

To promote good practice and share learning with regard to effective management of delayed discharges. See weblink

This usually attracts 60-90 people. The next date will be in July 2005 and cover Audit Scotland's work on delivering a whole systems approach to delayed discharge.
