Local Improvement Targets
What are Local Improvement Targets?
Local Improvements Targets (LITs) are targets developed jointly by local partnerships to:
- Provide local ownership of, and to support, the National Outcomes Framework of National Outcomes, Performance Measures and National Targets
- Sustain continuous improvements locally
- Lead to real improvements in the results experienced by people who use services and their carers.
They should be challenging, achievable and measurable.
How will LITs be measured?
LITs will be measured by partnerships as part of the local performance management arrangements. Partnerships will be accountable for achievement of their LITs as part of their local public reporting arrangements.
