Consultation conference
A consultation event to discuss the content of the new equipment and adaptations guidance was held at the Quality Hotel, Glasgow on 11 September 2008. The event was attended by NHS and local authority professionals along with representatives from other professional and voluntary organisations, users and carers. Into the Spotlight Conference
The consultation on the draft guidance was launched by Shona Robison, Minister for Public Health at the Into the Spotlight Conference on 2 December 2008 at Creiff Hydro, Perthshire. Details of the event and related publications can be found on the Joint Improvement Team website at www.jitscotland.org.uk.
Regional consultation events
We held three regional events around Scotland during February and March to promote and discuss the draft guidance. These events were run by independent organisations (Edinburgh - Capability Scotland, Glasgow - Quarriers, and Aberdeen by Cornerstone).
The events were held at:

- Edinburgh Marriot, Edinburgh - 11 March
- Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, Aberdeen - 24 March 2009
