Who Funds What?
Financial assistance may be available from either the NHS or Local Authority, based upon an assessment of need.
Additional Funding 2005-06
An additional £5 million was avaialble for 2005-06 for local authorities and their partners to improve equipment and adaptation service delivery, choice and quality.
This was distributed to local authorities using the GAE distribution formula for home based elderly services. Full details of the funding allocation is contained in the letter sent to Directors of Social Work on 6 June 2005.
