Joint Local Action Plans for Delayed Discharge

The Scottish Government has made an additional £30 million funding available to local authority/NHS partnerships per year to tackle delayed discharges. The Chief Executive of NHSScotland wrote to partnerships highlighting that the additional investment should deliver measurable outcomes against the targets set for each area.

The letter invited partnerships to submit Joint Action Plans as a precondition for their respective share of the funding.

Joint planning and working across local government, the NHS and the voluntary sector is seen as essential for the delivery of improvements.
