The Scrutiny Bodies Project Team held a conference on Friday 26 June 2009, at the Trades Hall in Glasgow, to communicate the background to the changes on how health, care and social work services will be inspected from April 2011. The conference was aimed at equality groups and people who use the affected services. The event included workshops facilitated by members of HMIE, NHS QIS, SWIA and the Care Commission, a keynote speech by the Project Director from the Scrutiny Bodies Project Team and a question and answer session with the Chief Executives from the current scrutiny organisations.
A summary of the event has been published and issued to everyone who applied to attend the event. The summary outlines the outcomes from the workshops and the question and answer session including a collection of cartoons that were drawn on the day to illustrate some of the main issues that were being raised (an example of the cartoons is shown on the right).
