The Implementation Timetable, cleared with key stakeholders sets out the proposed dates for implementing the Act. Different Parts of the Act will come into effect at different times and there is a generous lead-in time to the commencement of the key health protection provisions, recognising that a number of issues have to be addressed before they can be successfully implemented.
The timetable reflects the recent decision to bring forward the implementation of some of the key health protection provisions of the Act to 1 October 2009.
